Singapore Swimming Lessons publishes guides for parents and adult learners in Singapore. The site is run by Swim2u Swim School (about us), so we also sell the lessons we write about. This page explains the standards we apply so you can judge our content for yourself.
Who writes our content
Guides are prepared by the Swim2u team for this website. Where an article is written or reviewed by a named coach, we show their name, role and relevant qualifications on the article.
What every article should do
Before publishing or updating a guide, we check it against these questions:
- Who is this article helping?
- What question does it answer?
- Does it add something useful beyond what is already easy to find?
- Does it include practical examples a learner or parent can use?
- Are the facts accurate?
- Are important claims linked to an official or authoritative source?
- Is it clear who published it?
- Is it current, with a review date where things can change?
- Is it written plainly, without filler?
- Does it avoid claims we cannot support?
- Does it make clear when something is our opinion or coaching experience rather than an established fact?
- Would a reader trust it enough to act on it?
Sources we rely on
For programmes, rules and safety guidance, we link to the organisation responsible where practical, such as Sport Singapore / ActiveSG for SwimSafer and public pools, and the PDPC for personal data. Details such as SwimSafer criteria, pool opening hours and fees can change, so always confirm current requirements with the official source.
Claims we avoid
- We do not promise that a learner will swim in a set number of lessons. Timelines in our guides are general coaching estimates, not guarantees.
- We do not claim lessons make anyone drown-proof.
- We do not describe ourselves as the best or leading provider, and we do not publish invented reviews, results or statistics.
- Our guides are general information, not medical advice. Learners with health conditions should seek advice from a qualified professional.
Links to our own websites
Swim2u operates several swimming websites. When an article links to one of them, that link goes to our own business, not to an independent organisation, and we aim to make that clear.
Use of AI tools
We may use AI tools to help draft, edit or illustrate content. AI-assisted content is subject to the same checks as everything else on this page. Some decorative images were created with AI image tools and do not show a real Swim2u venue, coach or student.
Updates and corrections
