This policy explains how Swim2u Pte. Ltd. (Swim2u Swim School), which operates singaporeswimminglessons.sg, collects, uses and protects personal data. We handle personal data in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). You can read about your rights under the PDPA on the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) website.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us through the enquiry form, the chat assistant, WhatsApp, phone or email, such as your name, phone number and email address.
- Lesson details you choose to share, such as the learner’s age, swimming ability, goals, preferred location and schedule, and whether you have access to a pool.
- Health and support information you choose to tell us, such as medical conditions, injuries or additional needs that may affect participation. Please share only what the coach needs to teach safely, and avoid sharing detailed health information in the chat assistant.
- Booking and payment records, such as the package booked and payment confirmation. This website does not ask for or store card numbers.
- Photos and videos recorded during classes, as described in our booking terms.
- Website usage data collected through cookies and similar tools (see below).
Our AI chat assistant
The chat window on this website is an automated assistant powered by Anthropic’s Claude AI model, not a person. It answers general questions about our lessons and can collect enquiry details such as your name, contact details, the learner’s age and ability, and your preferred location. To generate replies, your messages are processed by Anthropic. Enquiry details collected in the chat are emailed to our team at info@swim2u.sg and recorded in a Google Sheets spreadsheet so we can follow up.
The assistant can make mistakes. Prices, availability and booking terms are only confirmed once a member of our team replies to you. If you would rather not use the chat, WhatsApp us or use the enquiry form instead.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and recommend a suitable lesson format, coach and venue
- To arrange, confirm and deliver lessons, including sharing relevant details with the assigned coach
- To keep learners safe during lessons
- To manage bookings, payments and scheduling
- To understand how visitors use this website so we can improve it
We do not sell your personal data.
Children’s data
Many of our learners are children. We expect a parent or guardian to provide a child’s details and to make decisions about their lessons.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Tag Manager and Google tools installed through Site Kit, which may set cookies to measure visits and how pages are used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Google explains how it uses data from sites that use its services on this page.
Service providers and third-party services
We use service providers to run this website and handle enquiries, including website hosting, email, Google (analytics and Google Sheets) and Anthropic (the chat assistant). If you contact us on WhatsApp, your messages are also handled under WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy. Embedded YouTube videos on this site are provided by Google. Some of these providers may process data outside Singapore.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above, or for legal or business reasons.
Your choices and rights
- You can ask what personal data we hold about you and how it has been used.
- You can ask us to correct personal data that is wrong or incomplete.
- You can withdraw consent for us to use your personal data. If you do, we may no longer be able to arrange lessons for you.
