Bukit Panjang, Senja and Cashew
Swimming Lessons at Senja-Cashew
Tell us the learner’s age, current ability and preferred days, and we will check whether a coach and slot are available.
The Senja-Cashew area sits between Bukit Panjang town and the Cashew and Hillview neighbourhoods, close to the Bukit Timah greenery. Families here often want lessons that fit around school runs and the LRT, without a long trip to the city.

Who This Location Suits
Senja-Cashew is convenient for households in Senja, Jelapang, Segar and the Bukit Panjang town centre, as well as the condominiums and landed estates around Cashew and Hillview. The Bukit Panjang LRT has a Senja station, and the Downtown Line runs through Bukit Panjang, Cashew and Hillview, so many learners can arrive by train or a short bus ride.
Our programmes fall into three broad groups.
Young children starting out
For children aged 2 to 4, toddler swimming lessons last 30 minutes. A parent usually stays close by on the pool deck. The goal is confidence: getting in and out safely, putting the face in the water and floating with help.
Primary-school swimmers
Kids lessons for ages 5 to 11 run for 45 minutes and build towards independent swimming and proper strokes. If school has introduced SwimSafer, tell us the stage your child is working on; see our SwimSafer page for how we use it.
Adults and teenagers
Adult lessons (12 and above) suit complete beginners, people with a fear of deep water and swimmers who want to fix their technique. Women who prefer a female coach can ask about ladies’ lessons.
One-to-One, Pairs or Small Groups
All our packages are four lessons. Prices for one-to-one, one-to-two and small groups are listed on the fees page. Pairs work well for siblings or friends at a similar level. If you live in a Cashew or Hillview condominium that allows external coaches, condo swimming lessons may save you the trip altogether, and private lessons suit anyone who wants the coach’s full attention.

On Lesson Day
Arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the start so there is time for admission, changing and a toilet break. The coach will meet you at the agreed spot on the pool deck.
What to bring: swimsuit, goggles, swim cap if the pool requires one, towel, drinking water and dry clothes. Bring sunscreen for outdoor pools; Bukit Panjang afternoons can be hot and bright.
Rain and lightning: the area sits beside hills and nature reserves, and afternoon storms are common. Lessons stop when the facility issues a lightning warning.
Opening hours, cleaning days and admission are set by the operator. Check the official ActiveSG facility information before you travel.
Safety
A coach-led lesson does not replace supervision by a parent or guardian before and after class. Please tell us about medical, sensory or support needs in advance; our special-needs lessons page explains our approach.
Senja-Cashew Questions
We live near Hillview. Is Senja-Cashew the best option?
It may be, or a condo pool or another nearby pool may be easier. Tell us where you live and we will suggest the most practical venue.
How do I get there without a car?
Use the Bukit Panjang LRT or the Downtown Line, then walk or take a short bus ride. Plan the route before your first lesson.
Is pool entry included in the package?
Usually not. Facility admission is normally paid separately; we confirm this when we confirm your booking.
Can my child do SwimSafer with you?
Tell us which stage your child is working on. The coach can focus lessons on the relevant skills. See our SwimSafer page for details.
What if a lesson is cancelled for lightning?
Ask about the make-up arrangement for your package before you pay.
