Personalised One-to-One Coaching

Private Swimming Lessons Singapore

Private lessons give one learner focused coach attention and a programme adapted to their current ability, confidence, goals, and pool environment.

They can suit beginners, nervous swimmers, children who benefit from individual attention, adults with specific goals, and swimmers working on stroke technique. Progress still varies by learner and should not be guaranteed within a fixed number of lessons.

What is important?

  • Stroke Refinement

Who May Prefer Private Lessons?

Complete Beginners

Start with water confidence, breathing, floating, body position, and basic movement at an individual pace.

Children

Focused coaching can adapt to the child’s confidence, attention, communication, and current skill.

Nervous Swimmers

A quieter one-to-one format may reduce distractions. Tell us about previous experiences or concerns before booking.

Stroke Improvement

Work on breathing, timing, body position, coordination, efficiency, distance, or a specific stroke.

SwimSafer Skills

Where a suitably qualified coach is available, lessons may focus on skills relevant to the learner’s SwimSafer stage. Official assessment readiness and registration requirements still apply.

Busy Schedules

Share preferred times and locations. Availability is confirmed individually and is not guaranteed for every pool or timeslot.

Private Versus Group Lessons

Private coaching offers focused feedback and an individual pace. Group coaching shares the coach’s attention and can offer a lower per-person price. Neither format guarantees faster progress for every swimmer.

Choose based on the learner’s comfort, goal, budget, preferred social setting, and available pool. Two-person coaching can be a useful middle option for friends, couples, or siblings with compatible abilities.

The customer remains responsible for confirming venue permission unless agreed otherwise.

Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly will I see progress?

There is no reliable universal timeline. It depends on starting confidence, ability, attendance, practice, fitness, pool conditions, and the chosen goal.

Can two people share a coach?

Yes, subject to compatible abilities, goals, location, and availability. Check the relevant two-person rate on the fees page.

Can I use a public pool?

Potentially. Pool rules, admission, lesson permissions, and coach availability must be confirmed for the chosen venue.

Can I book a trial or single session?

Ask when enquiring. A trial or standalone assessment is available only if explicitly confirmed; the published prices are four-lesson packages.

How often should I take lessons?

The appropriate frequency depends on the learner, goal, schedule, practice opportunities, and coach’s assessment.
